I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2009 with degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D in Social Psychology, working with Dr. Rebecca Schlegel. Broadly, my research interests are self, identity, stigma, gender issues, and stereotypes. Specifically, I am interested in studying the experience of being stigmatized, the role of the “true self” and how it affects our decisions, and exploring what factors are contributing towards the gender gap in science and engineering fields.
